After a very successful single release with Mlindo The Vocalist a few weeks ago, NATE returns with his latest project, a 13-track album titled MANONO.
Not new to the industry, NATE has since been delivering high-rotation hit tracks since his introduction to the industry with his much-acclaimed song "Friend Zone" alongside veteran musician Zola 7 and singer-songwriter Tamarsha. Since then, NATE has brought a unique approach to hip-hop and a distinct and highly addictive sound that has become a firm favourite in the South African music scene.
When asked about his latest offering, he responded, “This album is named after my late brother and is meant to spread hope and love to those who have lost it or are searching for it. This album is for everyone who is trying to become a better version of themselves by expressing more kindness and love to those around them and to those they hold dear to their hearts.
This album really means a lot to me, not only because it’s my first but because it’s my story and
a piece of my heart is saved inside of it. I thought I should name it after my late brother because
that has been the biggest loss I’ve experienced in my life to date but being around family and
receiving love has given me hope for brighter and better days.
I’ve gained brothers and sisters while working on this project and I hope it can do the same for
anyone who will be listening to it.”
The album consists of beautifully crafted tracks with relatable and heartfelt lyrics like 'Uthando' featuring Yallunder's soulful voice; 'Impumelelo' with Afro-Soul vocalist Senzo Afrika, Meez, and Masiano; and notable contributions from Mthunzi, Zamo Cofi, and other artists.
This much-awaited album promises to be a treat for fans, offering a collection of exciting new music and a great showcase of Nate's talent and versatility.
