Refiloe Pule Elisha Thoahlane, popularly known as Uncle Fif, is a hip-hop music producer and Sesotho rap artist from Maseru, Lesotho. His primary genre is a fusion of Amapiano and Afrobeat with a rap vocal delivery reminiscent of Motswako rap of the early 2000s.

Uncle Fif initially gained popularity on TikTok for opening up about his mental health and ADHD condition. It's only when he dropped an Afrobeat Sesotho rap song titled 'Smomo' that he got recognised for his music. Uncle Fif has been creating music for the better part of his life. He has been trying to breakthrough into the industry, but it was only when he switched to his mother tongue that he was able to express himself uniquely and engage with his audience.

The Niblings had been calling for a remix of the single Smomo since its release in July 2023. They all suggested that the song was missing a verse from the South African rapper Blaklez, and with pure determination, they went on a social media campaign to tag Blaklez, pushing him to hear the song and acknowledging that it would be awesome if he was on the song, says Uncle Fif.
