Soul Candi Institute of Music & Record Label, a leading creative education and music industry platform, has officially launched its new academic cycle, with a national student recruitment campaign aimed at driving course registrations.
The campaign, which kicked off earlier this month, will run until the second week of February 2026, targeting aspiring musicians, producers, DJs, vocalists, songwriters and music entrepreneurs across the country.
Boasting an impressive alumni network that includes world-renowned artists such as Shimza, DJ Zinhle, J’Something and DWSON, alongside hundreds of graduates who are actively shaping the music and creative industries. Soul Candi alumni are thriving in diverse career paths spanning music production, composition and songwriting, audio engineering, mixing and mastering, artist and asset management, and a wide range of related creative and business disciplines, reinforcing the institute’s reputation as a launchpad for sustainable, industry-ready careers.
New to the training offering cycle this year, Soul Candi’s Live DJ School is designed to fast-track aspiring DJs and performers into the modern live performance landscape. The 8-week DJ & Live Performance course equips students with essential, industry-relevant skills ranging from mixing and beat matching to delivering dynamic live sets using Ableton Live, all within Soul Candi’s newly upgraded, fully soundproofed DJ studios. Delivered as a physical, in-person programme at the Rosebank campus, Live DJ School offers an immersive, hands-on learning environment that mirrors real-world performance settings and prepares students for club, festival, and live-stage performance.
The nationwide campaign underscores Soul Candi’s commitment to developing the next generation of music professionals by combining world-class training, real-world industry exposure, and a strong record label ecosystem. Through a mix of digital media, campus activations, industry showcases, alumni success stories, and community outreach, the initiative seeks to inspire young creatives to turn their passion for music into sustainable careers.
“At Soul Candi, we don’t just teach music, we prepare students for the realities of the global music industry,” stated Sergio Botelho, co-founder of Soul Candi Institute of Music & Record Label. “This national campaign is about opening doors for talented individuals who are serious about building long-term careers in music, whether as artists, producers, sound engineers, or creative entrepreneurs.”
