Ladysmith Black Mambazo marked 11 February 2026 with a commemoration of the life and legacy of their founder, Dr Joseph Bhekizizwe Shabalala, whose vision established the group as one of South Africa’s most enduring and internationally respected musical institutions. Dr Shabalala’s contribution to South African music and culture remains foundational, with his work carrying the sound and spirit of isicathamiya onto the world stage while preserving its cultural integrity.

Following this commemoration, Ladysmith Black Mambazo turns its focus to the newly released album, One Voice One World. The album features collaborations with Dr Nduduzo Makhathini and Mbuso Khoza, bringing together artists from different musical traditions in a project rooted in unity, heritage and shared musical expression. One Voice One World reflects Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s continued commitment to collaboration, cultural dialogue and artistic excellence.

The album release coincides with the group’s international tour running from February to April 2026, during which Ladysmith Black Mambazo continues to represent South African music on global platforms. Further local promotional activities and live engagements are planned upon the group’s return, including Africa Month events in May 2026.
