The family of Kiernan Jarryd Forbes popularly known as AKA who passed away on Friday due to a shooting that happened while he was in Durban, announced that the rappers memorial service will be held at the Sandton Convention Center on Friday the 17^th of February 14, 2023.

The Family announce that tickets to the memorial service will be available on the Webtickets website, subsequent to the announcement the tickets sold out in a matter of hours. This just an indication of how loved and revered AKA was by south Africans and music lovers all over.

Since his death videos of AKA’s shooting have been circulating all over social media and have sparked much debate on platforms such as Twitter.

 During a press briefing the artists father  Tony Forbes said “We do not condone what is being said about his friends and those making dangerous statements. We appeal to them to cease from doing so” 

The memorial service will be the last chance that fans will get to say their goodbyes with the family stating the AKA’s funeral will be a very private one and will be taking place this Saturday
