His family announced that he died on Friday, September 13, 2024, following a brief illness.Born Teboho Ndarana, Michaels became a household name after joining Isidingo in 1997. His character, a charismatic gangster from a mining town, resonated with audiences and significantly impacted his life and career. For nearly two decades, he captivated viewers with his unique style, which included speaking Tsotsitaal, a South African street dialect, and donning vibrant silk shirts adorned with bold prints, complemented by chunky gold rings.Michaels' performance as Papa G was a highlight of the show, earning him a dedicated fan base who appreciated his sharp wit, humor, and cunning personality.
